Call for Proposals for ESS Round 6 Question Design Teams

The Call for Proposals for Question Design Teams for Round 6 of the ESS has now been published with a deadline for applications of 12th May 2010 (17.00 UK Time). They wish to attract social scientists across Europe who are interested in comparative survey data to apply for the opportunity to design a new module of between 40 and 50 items. Applications are invited from multinational teams of three to five subject specialists, based in at least three different ESS countries. The design and preparation of Round 6 will begin in 2010 subject to confirmation of funding. To avoid delay, increase questionnaire development time and in response to recommendations from their review panel they are inviting applications early, but the selection of teams will be contingent on receipt of funding for Round 6. Applications are welcomed for both 'new' rotating modules and for 'repeats' of rotating modules that have been fielded previously.
