Human Communication: This program, with its foundation in the humanities, social science, media studies, and information sciences, aims to create a new academic frontier, Human Communication Sciences. Research and education goals focus on:
- analyzing the functions and roles of communication, media, and information networks in the technologically-advanced global community,
- using this knowledge to further research and education in the technologies and theories necessary to improve social systems and living environments, and
- nurturing the talents of individuals capable of solving various problems in relevant academic fields.
